Eds. AN\u00a0Turner et al (interest to declare).\u00a0 Very detailed 3-volume textbook, but the 365 chapter summaries are <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/otcn4\">free online at bit.ly\/otcn4<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Davidson&#8217;s Textbook of Medicine<\/span><\/strong> (Churchill Livingstone). Frequent new editions. We are biased about this one, as we write it.\u00a0 There is a lot of detailed nephrology info in this book and links to online MCQs and other resources.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Forrest&#8217;s Principles and Practice of Surgery<\/span><\/strong> (Churchill Livingstone). Urology chapter by our own Lawrence Stewart, and Transplantation chapter by John Forsythe.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology<\/span><\/strong>. Eds. RJ Johnson, JF Feehally. Harcourt Brace. A huge single volume renal textbook with lots of detail about kidney disease.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uptodate.com\">UpToDate in Medicine<\/a>.\u00a0 This frequently updated online text is detailed, very good, and (unusually) works well online.\u00a0 However it is expensive unless you can gain access through your work, or qualify for a reduced subscription.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Websites www.edren.org our own site, has information about individual diseases for patients and medical staff, protocols for immediate in-hospital management.
